Victoria, Australia: The Telugu community in Australia marked the Sankranti festival with great enthusiasm and celebration. Mahesh Kumar Goud, President of TPCC, was the honored chief guest at the event, organized by the Melbourne Telugu Association on Sunday. The occasion also saw the presence of A P Jithender Reddy, Advisor to the state government, and S Shiv Sena Reddy, Chairman of the Sports Authority.

During his speech, Mahesh Kumar Goud commended the Telugu expatriates for their efforts in preserving and promoting Telugu culture and traditions, even beyond India. He highlighted that Telangana now has a people’s government, and called on Telugu industrialists to invest in their hometowns as a way of repaying the land that nurtured them. He also encouraged them to collaborate with the Congress government in Telangana for the state's progress.
