Durga Temple started its pious journey in September 26, 2006 through the generosity & dedicated work of the Hindu Community living in Hamtramck, Greater Detroit, Windsor and neighboring states. Using small yet recurring donations of many members and generous donations of few philanthropists, this devoted community bought a building through a land contract. You’re Mandir, which used to be a Romanian Orthodox Church, has temple altar, dining area, performance stage & hall, and recently upgraded kitchen and restrooms.

At Durga Bari, you should have the divine experience to offer your prayers in peace and quiet. We invite you to attend the Sunday Gita Path & Kirtan and all other special events / pujas. The Temple community will be very pleased if you kindly take prasad, prior to leaving the Temple. The volunteers take great care and devotion in preparing the prasad.
