Google is undergoing a significant leadership reshuffle, as CEO Sundar Pichai announced changes in a memo to employees. Nick Fox has been appointed to replace Raghavan, taking over responsibilities for Google's search, ads, geo, and commerce operations. Fox has a strong background within Google, having contributed to the development of various products, including Google Fi and RCS messaging.

Additionally, Google is reorganizing its research and development teams. The Gemini app team will be integrated into Google DeepMind to improve collaboration and efficiency, while the Google Assistant team will move to the Platforms & Devices division to enhance user experience.

In his memo, Pichai highlighted recent AI advancements and emphasized the need for organizational changes to accelerate progress in AI technologies. He expressed gratitude for Raghavan's contributions and congratulated Fox on his new role.
