2 Indian Students Die, 2 Injured in Ireland Car Crash; Community Mourns

Dublin, USA: Two Indian students, Bhargav Chitturi and Suresh Cherukuri, lost their lives in a tragic car accident in County Carlow, Ireland, while two others sustained serious injuries. The incident occurred on January 31 when their vehicle veered off the N80 road in Leagh, Rathoe, and crashed into a tree. The injured, a man and a woman in their 20s, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Indian Embassy in Dublin is assisting the victims' families, and local authorities have urged witnesses to provide any information. Reports indicate that the students, who had recently completed studies at South East Technological University (SETU), were returning from Mount Leinster before the crash.

Irish Prime Minister Michel Martin stressed the importance of road safety, while a fundraiser for funeral expenses has already raised over €25,000. The accident occurred on the anniversary of another fatal crash on the same road.
