New York City, USA: U.S.-based nonprofit American India Foundation (AIF) has been named one of the 2026 Best Nonprofits to Work For, earning the recognition for the third consecutive year.

The annual list is compiled by The NonProfit Times in partnership with Best Companies Group, evaluating organizations on workplace culture, employee engagement, and management practices through a two-stage assessment process.

The evaluation included a detailed review of organizational policies and operations, followed by an employee survey that carried greater weight. AIF recorded a 100 percent employee participation rate, reflecting strong internal engagement.

Commenting on the achievement, AIF Chief Executive Officer Nishant Pandey said the honor highlights the dedication of the organization’s team and its purpose-driven work culture focused on expanding opportunity and dignity across India.

Founded in 2001 after the Gujarat earthquake, AIF works across education, livelihoods, and public health sectors in India and also runs the Banyan Impact Fellowship. The organization will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony scheduled for the spring.
