Atlanta, Georgia, USA: Atlanta witnessed a unique community celebration on June 21, as residents came together to observe International Yoga Day, World Music Day, and Father's Day through a single integrated event focused on wellness, culture and family values.
The program was presented by Jashan Events in association with Global Entertainment and Media Services and was organized by Mustafa Ajmeri and Krish Goyal. The initiative aimed to promote physical well-being, cultural appreciation, community engagement and stronger family bonds.
The celebration began with an International Yoga Day session led by yoga instructor Isha Goyal, who guided participants through yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques designed to encourage mindfulness and overall wellness.
The event then transitioned into a World Music Day celebration featuring live performances by vocalist Veena Pothula, whose musical presentation highlighted the universal appeal of music and its ability to connect diverse communities.
Renuka Molleti served as the master of ceremonies, coordinating the day's activities and ensuring the smooth conduct of the program.
Guest speakers included community leader Kamalesh Chug, who spoke about the importance of preserving cultural heritage, strengthening community service and fostering unity. Hetal Mehta encouraged attendees to embrace leadership, positivity and active participation in community development.
The gathering also included a special Father's Day tribute, recognizing fathers for their dedication, guidance and invaluable role in nurturing families. Organizers said the segment added a meaningful family-centered dimension to the event.
According to the organizers, this marked the first time in Atlanta that International Yoga Day, World Music Day and Father's Day were celebrated together through a unified community program designed to promote health, cultural exchange and social harmony.
World Music Day, also known as Fete de la Musique, is observed annually on June 21. Established in France in 1982, the global celebration encourages musicians to perform in public spaces and is now commemorated in more than 120 countries through free concerts and community performances.
