Washington, D.C., USA: The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has appointed Aditya Goswamy as Program Coordinator and Research Assistant for its Chair on India and Emerging Asia Economics. In his new role, he will support research on industry, technology, shipbuilding, urbanization, and initiatives aimed at strengthening U.S.-India economic and strategic cooperation.
The CSIS program focuses on advancing economic ties between the United States, India, and other Asian partners through research on India's state-level economic policies, business engagement, and U.S. economic security. Led by Senior Adviser Richard M. Rossow, the initiative also publishes the India States Weekly newsletter, tracking policy and regulatory developments across India.
Before joining CSIS, Goswamy founded the Washington Forum on India (WFI) and held research positions at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Hudson Institute. His appointment reflects CSIS's continued emphasis on India's growing strategic and economic importance, with ongoing research covering economic reforms, state-level policy developments, and regional initiatives such as the Quad.
