North Dakota Confirms First Human Case of West Nile Virus

MORTON COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) — The first human case of West Nile virus this season has been confirmed in North Dakota.

According to the state’s Health and Human Services, the individual resides in Morton County and has been hospitalized.

Most people infected with the West Nile virus do not exhibit any symptoms.

Those who do develop symptoms typically report fever, headache, body or joint aches, or a rash.
