Southern California Wildfire Update: 1,200 Evacuated as Post Fire Spreads

A severe wildfire in Southern California has forced the evacuation of about 1,200 people.

The fire, named the Post Fire, started near Interstate-5 in Gorman, approximately 100 kilometers northwest of Los Angeles, and has burned over 16 square miles.

While there is no current threat to homes, two commercial buildings have been damaged.

The Los Angeles County Fire Brigade confirmed that the Hungry Valley area and Pyramid Lake are closed due to fire danger.

Firefighters are working tirelessly to control the blaze, but the cause of the fire remains unknown.

Evacuations are ongoing as workers from California to New Mexico continue to battle the wildfires.
