Trump Rules Out 2028 Run if He Loses to Kamala Harris

USA,Washington Donald Trump has indicated that he is unlikely to run for president again in 2028 if he loses the current election. The former president, who served from January 2017 to January 2021, is campaigning for a third term after losing to Joe Biden in 2020. Recent polling shows him trailing the Democratic nominee, Kamala Harris, by five percentage points, with Harris holding an average nationwide lead of about 3.6 points.

In an interview on the news show Full Measure, Trump explicitly stated he would not run again if he loses this year, saying, No, I don't... I think that will be, that will be it. This statement is significant because it marks a rare acknowledgment from Trump that he could face defeat, a scenario he typically attributes to widespread cheating—a claim he has made since the 2020 election and continues to suggest during his 2024 campaign.

Additionally, Trump defended his administration's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking credit for the vaccines developed during his presidency. He noted a growing skepticism among Republicans regarding the vaccines, contrasting it with the trust Democrats have in them. Trump also dismissed the idea of participating in a second debate with Harris, claiming it is too late since early voting has already begun. The election is scheduled for November 5, with Harris having performed well in a recent debate against Trump.
