A Russian fighter jet has crashed. The fatal accident took place on the Russia-Ukraine border. 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war died. The Ministry of Defense disclosed that there were six crew members and three other persons. The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Officials identified it as a Russian Ilyushin Il-76 military transport aircraft. Local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the incident occurred in the northeast of the city of Belgorod. He said he was going to inspect the place. Emergency personnel have already reached the spot, he said.
