Drone Launched at Netanyahu Home in Northern Israel, No Casualties

On October 19, 2024, Israel intercepted two drones that crossed into its territory, one of which was launched towards Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea, but there were no casualties as he was not home. This incident occurred amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah and a renewed conflict with Hamas following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

In Gaza, Israeli airstrikes resulted in at least 21 fatalities, including children, with reports of strikes hitting hospitals and residential areas, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis as about 90% of Gaza's population is displaced and facing severe shortages.

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that Hamas would continue its fight against Israel despite recent leadership losses. Netanyahu stated that the military campaign will persist until hostages held by Hamas are released, countering Hamas's position that negotiations are contingent upon a ceasefire. The ongoing conflict has led to significant casualties on both sides, with over 42,000 Palestinians reported dead since the onset of the current war.
