LISBON, ND (KVRR) – A fatal collision occurred late Tuesday morning between a semi-truck and a motor scooter, resulting in the death of a 66-year-old man from Lisbon. The incident took place around 10:25 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 32 and Jackson Ave. in Lisbon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The report indicates that the scooter driver attempted to pass the semi-truck as it was making a right turn, causing the scooter to collide with the passenger-side tyres. Subsequently, the trailer being towed by the semi struck the 66-year-old, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 63-year-old driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
