Dasari Gopikrishna Fatally Shot In Dallas, Texas

Dasari Gopikrishna (32), hailing from Yajali village in Karlapalem mandal of Bapatla district, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in America.

Gopikrishna, the only son of peasant laborers Dasari Srinivasa Rao and Lakshmi, pursued a B.Tech degree before securing a software job in Hyderabad. Eleven months ago, he moved to America on an H-1B visa to advance his career.

While seeking a full-time job, Gopikrishna worked part-time at a supermarket in Dallas, Texas. On Friday night, an assailant entered the supermarket, shot Gopikrishna, and fled with stolen items.

Locals quickly admitted the injured Gopikrishna to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. Gopikrishna leaves behind his wife Pravallika and their one-and-a-half-year-old son.

His grieving family has appealed to government representatives to expedite the repatriation of his body to India.

YSR Congress Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy expressed deep shock and extended his heartfelt condolences to Gopikrishna's family.

He urged the Union Ministry of External Affairs to provide necessary assistance and called on the government to support the bereaved family during this difficult time.
