Beirut, Lebanon: Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, warned on Friday that Tehran is ready to take "stronger defensive actions" if Israel retaliates for last week's missile attack. In a statement shared via X, Araqchi emphasized that Iran is "fully prepared to respond more forcefully" to any further aggression.
He noted that Iran's missile attack on October 1 was a legitimate act of self-defense in accordance with international law, carried out after considerable restraint in an effort to seek a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant has stated that Israel plans to respond to Iran in a manner that will be "lethal, precise, and surprising."
