Morgan Wallen and HARDY to Perform at Neyland Stadium in September

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — East Tennessee native Morgan Wallen announced Monday that he will be returning home to perform at Neyland Stadium on the University of Tennessee Knoxville campus. Tickets will be available starting Wednesday.

"I’ve had the privilege of playing in many college, MLB, and NFL stadiums over the past two years, but performing at Neyland Stadium in my hometown is unbeatable for a boy from East Tennessee," Wallen said in a news release shared by UTK on Monday. The country star also reactivated his Instagram on Monday morning to share the news.

Wallen, originally from Sneedville, Tenn. in Hancock County, is known for sporting Tennessee orange and was recently spotted at a Vol Baseball College World Series championship game with Peyton Manning and Rick Barnes.

The concert is set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, July 17 at 11 a.m. ET. This will be Wallen’s first performance at Neyland in Vol Country, as part of his "One Night At A Time" Tour.

Country music star HARDY will join Wallen for the show, along with another Tennessee country artist, ERNEST.

Wallen’s songs, some co-written by HARDY, frequently reference East Tennessee and the 865 area code. Wallen is a graduate of Gibbs High School in Knox County.

The news release also mentioned that a portion of every ticket sold for Wallen's live shows will benefit The Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF). The nonprofit recently donated $100,000 to improve and renovate two local baseball fields in Jefferson City. The funds included $80,000 for Roy Harmon Field via the City Parks Department and $20,000 for New Market Field through Jefferson City Little League. Renovations will cover new infields, bases, dugouts, press boxes, backstop padding, fencing, and more.
