Sunita Williams's return from the International Space Station (ISS) has been delayed due to technical issues with Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. The spacecraft, which was scheduled to bring back Sunita Williams and another astronaut on July 2, is facing a helium leak.
As a result, NASA is considering bringing Sunita and her fellow astronaut back to Earth using SpaceX's Crew Dragon, a spacecraft developed by Elon Musk's company. Crew Dragon, which transported four astronauts to the ISS in March, is capable of carrying additional passengers back to Earth.
This development highlights the ongoing competition between Boeing and SpaceX in the field of space technology. If Sunita returns on Crew Dragon, it would mark another significant achievement for SpaceX over Boeing in the realm of astronaut transport.
