The 'Telugu Times Business Excellence Awards aim to honor the NRI Telugu business community, showcasing their talents and recognizing their services. Serving Telugu people in America for 21 years, 'Telugu Times' initiated these awards last year. The 2024 awards ceremony took place in Dallas on June 16, with a large attendance of Telugus.
Editor and CEO Chennuri Venkata Subbarao highlighted the awards' purpose and shared the history of 'The Telugu Times'. Former TANA president Prasad Thotakura reminisced about his association with Subbarao. Plano Mayor John B. Munns Irving and Frisco City officials were introduced at the event.
Chief guest Consul General of India, D.C. Manjunath, was invited to the stage by Neil Gonugontla. Manjunath praised the initiative. Executive Board Member Nagendra Bandaru, President of Enterprise Futures at Wipro, was the keynote speaker, and Raja Doddala, Head of Growth Equity, was the guest of honor.
The event featured various speakers, including Satish Mandava, CEO of Intel Soft Technologies, who moderated a discussion. Other participants included Neelima Gonuguntla of the US India Chamber of Commerce (DFW), former NATS president Bapayya Nuthi, and former NATA president Sridhar Reddy Korsapati. Nagendra Bandaru presented mementos to sponsors and partners. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from CVB Krishna and impressive anchoring by Sravya Vemulapati Chennuri
