He opened fire while trying to escape. The grandfather of the accused, William Kapas, died in this incident. Two other policemen were seriously injured, police said on Monday. It was revealed that the accused should not have been shot dead. As part of the investigation, the car used by him was checked and various types of handguns and rifles were found in it, he said. A search of his vehicle registration revealed the bodies of Robert Hoffner, a preacher, and his sister, Sally Hoffner, in a house.
