Mi-28 Attack Helicopter Crashes in Russia Kaluga Region

Russia: According to the Russian Defense Ministry, an Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in the Kaluga region of Russia early Thursday, resulting in the deaths of all crew members. Preliminary findings indicate that the crash was likely caused by a technical malfunction.

The helicopter was on a scheduled flight when it went down in a deserted area of the region, which is situated to the northeast, bordering the nation's capital, Moscow.

A commission from Russia’s Aerospace Forces is currently investigating the crash site. The statement did not disclose the number of crew members involved.

Additionally, Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha mentioned on Telegram that the crash occurred in the Zhizdrinsky district of the region.
