Indian-Americans in Silicon Valley rally in solidarity with Hindus in Canada, Bangladesh

Northern California, USA: Indian-Americans organized a protest rally in Silicon Valley, California, urging authorities to take a firm stance against human rights violations and ensure the safety of Hindu minorities, holding the governments of Canada and Bangladesh accountable.

The protesters raised their voices with slogans such as "End Khalistani terrorism, protect Canadian Hindus" and "Stop Islamist violence, safeguard Bangladeshi Hindus."

Community leaders expressed strong disapproval of the insufficient response to the recent attack on Hindu worshippers at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton, where Khalistani groups were involved in the violence.

“We watched disturbing footage of Khalistani militants attacking the temple, assaulting men, women, and children. It was deeply troubling to witness innocent Hindus, who were there to celebrate Diwali, being harassed by these assailants,” stated the press release.

“Even worse, we saw law enforcement officers, who appeared to have been influenced by Khalistani supporters, joining in the violence against Hindu worshippers. What is being called 'freedom of expression' in Canada is actually violence. We have lost trust in the Trudeau administration's ability to safeguard the human rights of Canadian Hindus,” the release continued.

Pushpita Prasad, a representative of the Coalition of Hindus in North America (CoHNA), raised concerns about her Canadian team being targeted and profiled by Sikhs for Justice, an organization banned in India but still active in both the US and Canada.
