Kuwait: Recruitment of Indian workers to be tightened An experience certificate is also required!

The Public Authority for Manpower, in its efforts to control the labour market, is discussing several proposals regarding the mechanisms related to recruiting workers from abroad, especially about certain technical professions. One of the proposals is that a new work permit should not be issued without academic certificates, certification and prior approval of the Kuwait embassies.

The proposal also discussed the inclusion of an accredited professional experience certificate approved by the concerned authorities for each profession. It may have at least 3 years of experience for some professions and up to 5 years for others. The implementation of this recruitment process will be done in a phased manner, while the first phase will be implemented in some medical, education, engineering, legal and financial professions.
