The Sankara Nethralaya musical concert in Phoenix on November 3 was a resounding success, raising $120,000 for eye care initiatives. This first-ever Telugu concert in the region saw generous contributions from six MESU donors.

Dr. S.S. Badrinath honored the late Ratan Tata, and the event highlighted Sankara Nethralaya's growth in the USA, including the launch of new centers in Puttaparthi and Visakhapatnam. The Mobile Eye Surgical Unit (MESU) program, which provides critical eye care in rural areas, was also a key focus.

A captivating performance by Mani Sharma added to the event's success. Auctions held at Firangi restaurant and in Peoria raised an additional $4,875, funding 75 cataract surgeries. Many donors and volunteers were recognized for their contributions, and the community's interest in supporting the Phoenix branch was overwhelming.

This event also celebrated the work of the Shining Sprouts and Loving Kindness teams in promoting Sankara Nethralaya's mission.
