Atlanta, Georgia, USA: The North American Telugu Association (TANA) continues to expand its community outreach through various initiatives. As part of these efforts, TANA Southeast successfully organized a CPR awareness and training program in Atlanta, which received an enthusiastic response from the local Telugu community.
The event, held on March 29, witnessed strong participation, with attendees gathering at a local venue to gain essential knowledge on emergency medical response. The session focused on equipping participants with the skills required to handle critical situations effectively until professional medical help becomes available.
The training was led by noted physician Dr. Lalitha Medepalli, along with her team. She provided detailed insights into administering CPR as an immediate life-saving measure during emergencies such as cardiac arrest. More than 50 participants actively engaged in hands-on training sessions using practice models, ensuring practical understanding of the techniques.
TANA leadership, including President Naren Kodali, Executive Vice President Srini Lavula, and Women Services Coordinator Sohini Ayanala, played a key role in organizing the event. Addressing the gathering, they emphasized the importance of health awareness and assured that similar initiatives would be conducted in the future to benefit the community.
Several prominent members, including Regional Representative Shekhar Kollu, Foundation Trustee Madhukar Yarlagadda, Board Director Bharat Maddineni, former President Anjaiya Chowdary Lau, and Social Welfare Coordinator Sunil Devarapalli, were present at the event.
The leadership also acknowledged the contributions of local coordinators and volunteers for their efforts in making the program a success. Special appreciation was extended to Kishore Tatikonda for facilitating the event arrangements.
