Delaware State Police Probe Deadly Three-Car Head-On Crash

BRANDYWINE HUNDRED, Delaware (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal three-car collision that occurred in New Castle County on Monday.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on the 1100 block of Wilson Road in Brandywine Hundred.

Law enforcement responded to the site following reports of a three-car head-on collision.

Upon arrival, officials reported that two individuals from two of the vehicles were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

An elderly male occupant of the third vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to authorities.

Wilson Road remains closed as investigators continue their examination.

The state police have not disclosed the victim's identity or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
