The ordeal began as the mother was leaving a nearby gas station just after 7:30 p.m. Fortunately, a group of men from a local car wash business sprang into action upon seeing the car engulfed in flames. Despite the intense heat and smoke, they courageously rescued 8-month-old Aliyah Hawkins and 6-year-old Dante Hawkins from the burning vehicle. Their swift and selfless actions were crucial, as firefighters arrived shortly afterward to extinguish the flames, which were exacerbated by fireworks stored in the trunk.
