Eastern England, London(UK): A 12-year-old girl has been charged with manslaughter following the death of 80-year-old Bhim Sen Kohli, who died after being attacked while walking his dog in a park near Leicester, eastern England, earlier this September.
According to Leicestershire Police, the girl is the second person to face charges in this case. A 15-year-old boy, who was 14 when the incident occurred, had previously been arrested and charged with Kohli's murder and is still in custody.
Following Kohli's death in the hospital on September 2, five children, aged 12 to 14, were arrested in connection with the tragic incident. Kohli’s family had described their grief in a statement issued through the police, expressing how heartbroken they were and their struggle to come to terms with the loss.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that a neck injury was the cause of death. The investigating officer from Leicestershire Police stated that the circumstances surrounding Kohli's death were deeply distressing for his family, friends, and the broader community.
