Virginia, USA: New and disturbing details have emerged from the case of a missing Indian-origin woman, which has now been confirmed as a murder mystery.
Mamta Kafle, 37, was reported missing in late July, with her Indian-American husband, Naresh Bhatt, filing a police report on August 5. However, when officers visited their Virginia home, they uncovered evidence that implicated Bhatt himself.
After a thorough investigation, Bhatt has been arrested and charged with the brutal murder of his wife. Authorities have revealed additional details that have shocked the public.
Investigators found a troubling clue in Naresh’s internet history, suggesting that he had premeditated the crime. Months before Mamta’s disappearance, he searched for the query, “How soon can you remarry after a spouse dies?”
Moreover, bloodstains matching Mamta’s DNA were discovered in the couple’s bedroom and bathroom, leading authorities to suspect that her body was dismembered by her husband in the bathroom. While her body has not been found, the evidence points to Naresh’s involvement in her death.
The couple, who had been married for under three years and had a young daughter, had no prior history of domestic violence, making this crime all the more shocking. The daughter will now have to cope with the trauma of this tragic incident.
The motive for the murder remains unclear as the investigation continues.
