The renowned American publication Forbes recently unveiled its compilation of the wealthiest individuals globally for 2024, with 25 new Indian billionaires making their debut.

Renuka Jagtiani, CEO of Landmark Group, secured a spot on this list with a net worth of approximately 4.8 billion. Of Indian descent, Renuka Jagtianis late husband, Mikki Jagtiani, established the Landmark Group. Following his passing due to illness, Renuka assumed the role of CEO. She holds a Bachelors degree in Arts from the University of Mumbai. Despite lacking prior business experience, Renuka joined the Landmark Group in 1993 and swiftly honed her entrepreneurial skills, expanding the companys reach across various nations. Currently, Renuka Jagtiani ranks 44th among the wealthiest individuals in the country.

Mikki Jagtiani commenced his career as a taxi driver and hotel cleaner in London. After the unfortunate demise of his parents and brother in 1973, he relocated to Bahrain and took over his brothers toy shop. For a decade, he managed the toy store while supporting his family, gradually diversifying his business ventures. Following the conclusion of the Gulf War, he ventured into Dubai and established the Landmark Group. Despite numerous challenges, Mickey Jagtiani steadily built a multi billion dollar business conglomerate headquartered in Dubai. The Landmark Group specializes in retailing apparel, footwear, consumer electronics, and cosmetics, while also investing in hospitality and healthcare sectors. With over 2,200 stores in 21 countries, Landmark Groups brands are ubiquitous. The company employs approximately 50,000 individuals worldwide. Its operations in India began in 1999, and it has since expanded to over 900 stores across the nation.
