Suspected of Chinese espionage. Release of the pigeon in custody

A captive pigeon, accused of coming to India to spy for China, has finally been freed.

A pigeon that was held captive on charges that it had come to India to spy for China has finally been freed. The pigeon was kept in the wildlife sanctuary for about eight months by authorities and released. Officials revealed that the investigation revealed that the pigeon belonged to Taiwan. Going into the details...a pigeon was seen suspiciously in May last year at Pirpau Jetty in Chembur, Maharashtra. Both wings were found to be equipped with copper and aluminum equipment. The local (RCF) police were alerted as a message was written on the wings of the bird in vernacular Chinese. A suspected case of espionage was registered and an investigation was started. Eventually, it was found that there was no such thing and the charges were dropped. However, it was concluded that it was a competition pigeon in Taiwan.
