Telangana Student Aryan Reddy Dies in US Birthday Tragedy: Gun Misfire Stuns NRI Community

Georgia, Atlanta: A tragic accident claimed the life of 23-year-old Indian student Aryan Reddy on November 13, as he celebrated his birthday in Atlanta, Georgia. Aryan, a master's student at Kansas State University, was cleaning a recently purchased hunting rifle when it accidentally discharged. Originally from Sairam Nagar in Telangana, Aryan had recently obtained a hunting gun license in the United States.

The fatal incident occurred during the celebrations, with the gunshot striking Aryan in the chest. His friends, alarmed by the sound of the gunfire, rushed to his room only to find him gravely injured and lying in a pool of blood. Although they immediately transported him to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead upon arrival.

Aryan’s grieving family, hailing from Bhuvanagiri district and now residing in Uppal, Telangana, is preparing to bring his body back to his native village tonight. The news of his untimely death has left the family in deep sorrow.

Speaking about the tragedy, Aryan’s father, Sudarshan Reddy, urged students abroad to be cautious with firearms and avoid putting their families through such unimaginable pain. He emphasized the importance of safety and responsibility when handling weapons.

This heartbreaking incident has once again sparked discussions about gun violence in the United States, highlighting the ongoing debates over the need for stricter gun control measures. Proposals such as mandatory safety training and rigorous background checks continue to be at the forefront of efforts to prevent such tragedies.
