Telugu People Foundation Celebrates 16th Anniversary with a Grand Event and Student Support

New Jersey, USA: The 16th anniversary of the Telugu People Foundation was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to serve the Telugu community. Held at the Heightstown High School Auditorium in New Jersey, the event highlighted the foundation's ongoing efforts to create opportunities for deserving students.

The celebration featured a combination of musical and cultural performances, along with a dinner, marking a special occasion for everyone involved. Convener Divya Andavarapu, who chaired the event, emphasized the foundation's dedication to helping students achieve their dreams. "Our goal is to continue offering educational opportunities and support to even more individuals in the future," she said.

The foundation’s President, Kotha Krishna, shared insights into the various relief efforts and projects undertaken by the organization. He highlighted the foundation’s success in assisting over 500 college students. "We have supported students who, despite difficult circumstances, have excelled in their studies. One student, for example, worked as a shepherd while pursuing education, and another, from Purintu in Tanda, secured a place in a government medical college," Krishna explained. He further thanked the team members, donors, assistants, and sponsors who work tirelessly to support the foundation’s mission, noting that around 35 young volunteers in the U.S. are currently responsible for providing scholarships to students.

The event saw participation from not only Telugu people but also others, showcasing the foundation’s inclusive spirit and the impact of its work. For more information, individuals can visit TeluguPeople.org, and those wishing to contribute financially can contact treasurer@telugupeople.org. "We assure you that every contribution, whether in rupees or dollars, will go directly towards supporting students," Krishna added.

Fundraising director Praveen Guduru, advisor TP Srinivas, and Prasad Kunisetty also encouraged everyone to support the cause. Several organizations sponsored the event, and leaders from mata, tifas, and nats organizations joined in to commend the foundation's efforts. Renowned singers Prasad Simhadri, Sumangali, and Tarun provided musical entertainment, making the evening even more memorable for all attendees.
