An Indian restaurant manager tragically lost his life in a road accident while riding a bicycle

United Kingdom (UK): A 36-year-old Indian restaurant manager, Vignesh Pattabhiraman, tragically lost his life in a road accident while cycling home. The authorities in the UK have initiated a homicide investigation into his death, and this week, eight individuals were arrested in connection with the case.

Pattabhiraman was returning on his bicycle from his workplace at the Indian restaurant Well in Reading, southeast England, when he was struck by a vehicle at the Kadugan Place junction in the city. Despite being taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by Thames Valley Police.

In response to the incident, Shahzeb Khalid (24) was arrested on suspicion of murder and subsequently charged. He appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. Additionally, seven individuals, aged 20, 21, 24, 27, 31, 41, and 48, all from the same city, were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting a criminal. They have since been released on bail.
