San Francisco: Andhra Pradesh Unveils 5B USD Development Plan at San Francisco Roundtable to Boost Jobs  Innovation

San Francisco, USA: During a recent roundtable meeting in San Francisco, Andhra Pradesh's Minister of Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, emphasized the state government's commitment to decentralizing development and improving the business environment. The event, hosted by Indian Consul General Srikar Reddy, focused on attracting investments and exploring collaboration opportunities.

1. Job Creation: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced six new policies aimed at generating 2 million jobs for the youth over the next five years.

2. Strategic Advantages: Andhra Pradesh has the second-largest coastline in India and plans for four new ports. The state is working to develop Kurnool into a Drone Valley and transform Chittoor and Kadapa into an electronics hub, contributing 25% of India’s mobile phone production and 50% of its air conditioners.

3. Infrastructure Development: Projects worth $5 billion are set to begin in Krishna and Guntur, with construction of the Amaravati capital starting in December. Focus areas include aqua exports, petrochemicals, green hydrogen, and the establishment of a Civil Aviation University and a data center in Visakhapatnam.

4. Economic Development Board: The revival of the Economic Development Board aims to make Andhra Pradesh a global manufacturing hub, anticipating electronics investments to reach $300 billion.

5. Collaborative Investment Efforts: Srikar Reddy highlighted the state's growing appeal, referencing the recent Drone Summit in Vijayawada. The roundtable included prominent leaders from various sectors, indicating increased interest in Andhra Pradesh's development.

Minister Lokesh invited American industrialists to join the transformative journey of Andhra Pradesh, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047.
