Elon Musk Denies Allegations of $45M Monthly Donations to Trump

Turkey, Istanbul: On Monday, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, rejected claims that he contributes $45 million monthly to support Donald Trump, as reported by US media.

This response followed Trump's mention of Musk’s alleged donations during a rally.

In response to a Rolling Stone article, Musk stated: "I’m not donating $45 million a month to Trump," refuting a Wall Street Journal report that suggested he was planning to finance a pro-Trump Super PAC (political action committee).

In a conversation with conservative commentator Jordan Peterson, Musk refuted the Wall Street Journal's allegations, stating: "The media reports are simply inaccurate."

Musk clarified that his America PAC, managed by consultants from Ron DeSantis’ campaign, is designed to promote core American values, rather than serving a partisan agenda.

During a rally in Michigan, Trump inaccurately stated that Musk was a major donor: "Elon endorsed me the other day... he gives me $45 million a month."

Musk, with an estimated net worth of $250 billion, reiterated that his PAC's goal is to support American principles, not any individual candidates.

Previously, Trump had criticized Musk and his businesses, claiming in 2022 that Musk would have "dropped to his knees and begged" for assistance if Trump had requested it.
