Russia and Iran Ready to Sign Historic Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

Iran, Tehran: In an interview with TASS, Rudenko revealed that the final touches on the document were completed during productive consultations between legal and regional experts from both countries' foreign ministries in Moscow on June 21. Following these consultations, it was agreed to initiate the internal procedures required to prepare the treaty for signing in the near future. Rudenko expressed optimism about witnessing this significant event soon.

He also highlighted that the process of drafting this comprehensive strategic partnership agreement, aimed at elevating Russian-Iranian relations, has spanned almost two and a half years and is now officially complete.

Iranian President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian communicated with Russian President Vladimir Putin, indicating Tehran's readiness to sign the agreement at the BRICS summit in Kazan this October.
