Two Indian students from Andhra Pradesh drowned in Scotland

Two Telugu students lost their lives in Scotland. Two Indian students accidentally drowned in a tourist spot in Scotland. A representative of the Indian High Commission in London revealed that two Indian students from Andhra Pradesh drowned and their bodies have been recovered. They have been identified as Chanakya Bolishetti (22) and Jitendranath Karuturi (27), who are doing Masters at Dundee University.

Both of them died at the Lyn of Tummel Falls, a popular waterfall.  Both bodies were recovered by emergency services. Four friends studying at Dundee University were trekking when two accidentally fell into the water and drowned. The other two students then informed the emergency services. Police, fire brigade and ambulance immediately reached the spot and took action.

The Consulate General of India has informed the families of the students and is providing them with adequate assistance. A consular officer also met a relative of the student living in Britain. The University of Dundee has also promised adequate support. Arrangements are being made to send their dead bodies to India after post-mortem.
