Kathmandu, Nepal: Authorities in Nepal have apprehended an Indian citizen at a guest house in eastern Nepal for allegedly being in possession of a rhino horn and illegal drugs, according to police reports on Thursday. Acting on confidential information, a specialized team of Nepal Police detained Narayan Ramdham, a resident of North Mendabari, West Bengal, at the Himalaya Guest House located in the Kakarbhitta area on Wednesday afternoon.During the arrest, law enforcement recovered a rhino horn weighing 1.7 kilograms, 2.8 grams of brown sugar, 144 narcotic tablets, a digital weighing scale, and two mobile phones from the suspect’s possession.
The individual is now in police custody, and investigations into the case are ongoing, the police confirmed in their statement.
