In the US presidential election, former President Donald Trump secured an unexpected victory through popular voting. Alongside his success, several Indian-American candidates made significant strides in the election. Nine Indian-Americans contested for seats in the US House of Representatives, with six emerging victorious.

Key winners include:

Raja Krishnamurti (51) – A Democrat, re-elected from Illinois (8th District) for the fifth time.

Ro Khanna (48) – A Democrat, re-elected from California (17th District).

Suhas Subramaniam (38) – A Democrat, won from Virginia (10th District), becoming the first Indian-American to represent Virginia.

Srithanedar (69) – Won his second term in Michigan (13th District), defeating his Republican opponent.

Dr. Ami Bera (59) – A Democrat and the longest-serving Indian-American lawmaker, re-elected from California (6th District).

Pramila Jayapal (59) – A Democrat, re-elected from Washington (7th District).

Additionally, Amish Shah of Indian origin is leading in Arizona (1st District), although he faces tough competition from Republican incumbent David Schweikert.
