Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud held the second session of the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council in New Delhi, aiming to deepen ties in defense, security, trade, and cultural exchanges. Both ministers discussed shared regional concerns, especially the West Asia conflict, and emphasized multilateral cooperation.

Jaishankar highlighted wide-ranging bilateral talks on defense, trade, investment, and people-to-people connections, posting, “Fruitful talks on our bilateral partnership, including defense, trade, culture, and youth exchanges.” Al Saud expressed appreciation for India’s warm reception, underscoring the deep historical and cultural links between the two nations.

The council aims to fulfill the strategic goals set by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and PM Modi, focusing on sectors like energy, climate change, and investment. Al Saud emphasized ongoing alignment on global security and economic development, noting that enhanced cooperation serves mutual interests and benefits the broader region.
