Dallas, USA: The North American Throwball Federation (NATF) and TANA jointly organized a successful throwball tournament in Dallas on October 26, drawing enthusiastic participation from players across the nation.  

Key figures such as NATF President Manu Gondi, Vice President Vasantha Kavuri, North American ITF Vice President Tejesh Rajappa, and TANA Sports Coordinator Nagamalleswara Panchumarthi were instrumental in ensuring the event’s success. Their teamwork and dedication not only contributed to the smooth execution of the tournament but also boosted its visibility. Kavya Vurukula, the NATF Media Coordinator, played a crucial role in promoting the event.  

Assistant Secretary General of ITF, Sampoorna Hegde, and Technical Committee Convener, Ramu Pilli, traveled from India to enhance the event's professionalism. Ramu Cat, serving as head coach, motivated players with his enthusiasm, while Sampoorna Hegde engaged with participants, highlighting the health benefits of throwball, such as improved blood circulation and its potential to alleviate knee pain in the elderly.  

The tournament began promptly at 9 AM, with NATF President Manu Gondi addressing the growing appeal of throwball and the collective aspiration to elevate it to Olympic status. Initially planned for 14 teams, the overwhelming interest led to the inclusion of 26 teams, divided into three categories. Trophies were awarded in each category, and sponsors showed strong support for promoting women’s empowerment.  

The event also marked North America’s first men’s throwball tournament, adding to the excitement. Distinguished attendees included TANA Regional Coordinator Paramesh Devineni, TANA Councillor-at-Large Satish Komanna, and TANA Board Director Malli Vemana. Former Sports Coordinator Shashank Yarlagadda, who has been pivotal in uniting NATF members, also participated.  

A dedicated team, including Shweta Bommareddy, Naveena Parasa, Rohit Thota, Divya Goshamahal Sanatan, Naga Ramesh Kamisetty, Varsha Natarajan, Dhanya Vijay, Bhargav Gorantla, Bhavana Kamisetty, Srivatsav Banda, and Sathya Keerthi Kotte, ensured the event's timely execution. Under the guidance of Srikanth Gumireddy, the website team facilitated live score updates, registrations, and team draws, ensuring a seamless experience for players and spectators.  

Organizers announced that the next NATF-TANA tournament will be held on May 3 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
