This 6,000-square-foot facility, located next to the hospital's operating room, consolidates gastroenterology services into one self-contained unit, streamlining patient care by allowing pre-operative consultations, procedures, and recovery all within the same space.

The new suite offers larger rooms, enhanced privacy, and improved access to diagnostic equipment like X-ray stations. This design reduces patient transfers between departments, improving overall efficiency and patient comfort. Feedback from patients, such as Terra Green, highlights the benefits of not needing to move between areas and having more family presence during procedures.

The expansion also responds to increased demand for colorectal screenings, with recommendations now suggesting screenings begin at age 45 due to rising colon cancer rates among younger populations.
