Manila, Philippines: The tragic death of a 20-year-old woman, who had moved abroad to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, has raised several questions. Snigdha had traveled to the Philippines from Telangana to continue her medical education. She passed away under mysterious circumstances on her birthday.

Chinta Amrit Rao, a resident of Indresham village in Patancheru Mandal, is the father of Snigdha, who was the daughter of Transco DE Amrita Rao from Medak. Two years ago, Snigdha had moved to the Philippines to study MBBS at The Professional Help University, where she was in her second year. According to her father, Snigdha had called home to wish her family a happy birthday, but soon after, she became ill. By the time she was rushed to the hospital, she had tragically passed away. Snigdha’s father expressed his confusion over the events, describing his daughter as a strong individual, and is now demanding a thorough investigation and assistance in bringing her body back to India.

Indian embassy officials in the Philippines are currently working on repatriating her body to India. The exact cause of Snigdha's death is still under investigation.
