FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Two Fargo City Commissioners have taken the Oath of Office, marking the start of their new four-year terms.
Newly elected Michelle Turnberg and re-elected John Strand were sworn in by Municipal Judge Steve Dawson.
Fargo voters elected Turnberg and re-elected Strand on June 11 to fill the open seats on the city commission.
Both Turnberg and Strand commenced their terms on July 1.
Turnberg is filling the seat previously held by Arlette Preston.
The City Commissioners have also appointed Denise Kolpack as the new Deputy Mayor.
