Among them, Karthik Naralashetty, a 35-year-old from Andhra Pradesh, is now running for mayor in The Hills, Texas. If he wins the election scheduled for November 5, he would become the youngest mayor of The Hills.

Naralashetty, originally from Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh, moved to the United States for his higher studies. He enrolled in the Computer Science department at Rutgers University in New Jersey, although he later stepped away from his studies. Subsequently, he founded an NGO named Social Blood and became a businessman, growing the organization, which now operates in 21 countries.

Recently, Naralashetty decided to focus on the upcoming elections in The Hills, where he resides. He launched his campaign in August, aiming to gain the community's trust and promising to work for the area’s improvement. Last year, Ken Matthew, another Indian-origin individual, was elected mayor of Stanford, Texas.
