NRI Scandal: TANA Ex-Treasurer Accused of Diverting 3MUSD Foundation Funds

Washington, USA: The alleged misappropriation of funds within the 'TANA' Foundation has sparked significant controversy. Former treasurer Srikanth Polavarapu faces accusations of diverting over $3 million to his own company.

In Washington, the TANA Foundation board has taken the matter seriously, issuing a notice to Srikanth, requiring his presence at the board meeting scheduled for November 25. Allegedly, the fund diversion occurred without prior discussion or approval during any TANA meetings.

The foundation conducted a preliminary investigation, during which Srikanth reportedly admitted via email to redirecting the funds unilaterally and accepting full responsibility for his actions.

An emergency meeting was held on November 23, where the TANA board unanimously passed a resolution urging immediate and appropriate action against Srikanth. Notices have been sent to him to attend the next meeting. Dr. Nagendra Srinivas Kodali, the board chairman, stated that legal counsel will be sought to address the issue and ensure the foundation's operations remain unaffected.
