Visa-Free Travel for Indians to Russia Expected by Spring 2025: Boosting Tourism Business Moscow, Russia: India and Russia are working towards introducing visa-free travel for Indian tourists by spring 2025, a move aimed at enhancing both tourism and business relations between the two countries.
Discussions between New Delhi and Moscow are in the final stages of establishing this visa-free travel initiative, which is expected to be implemented by spring 2025. The goal is to simplify travel, encourage tourism, and foster stronger economic ties between the nations.
Currently, Indian passport holders can apply for a Unified e-Visa (UEV) to Russia, a process that takes approximately four days. Since its launch in August 2023, the e-Visa has facilitated travel for various purposes, including personal, business, tourism, and cultural exchanges.
If the visa-free arrangement is finalized, it will significantly ease travel between the two nations, encouraging even more business and tourism exchanges. Moscow, in particular, has become a popular destination for Indian tourists, with many visiting for business-related purposes.
