A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck Southern California, northwest of Los Angeles, America, on Friday afternoon.
According to the USGS Geological Survey, the quake was centered in a coastal mountain area about 9 miles (14.5 km) west of Thousand Oaks and 40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
On the afternoon of February 9, 2024, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck across Los Angeles County, centered northwest of the upscale coastal community of Malibu.
The tremor was initially recorded at a magnitude of 5.1 but later decreased to a record 4.6. The USGS said that there was no loss of life or property damage due to these tremors.
