Bomb Threats Trigger Lockdowns at Four Fullerton Schools in California

Fullerton, California, USA: Four schools in Fullerton, California—including Sunny Hills High School, Fullerton Union High School, Troy High School, and Fern Drive Elementary School—were placed on lockdown after authorities received multiple bomb threats, NBC Los Angeles reported.

The first threat was reported around 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, with two additional threats following shortly after, according to Fullerton Police Officer Kristy Wells. Police advised the public to avoid the school areas while investigations were underway.

"Fullerton Police Officers are responding to three separate bomb threats received via phone calls at Sunny Hills High School, Fullerton Union High School, and Troy High School. All three campuses are under lockdown as officers conduct thorough investigations," the Fullerton Police Department stated on X (formerly Twitter).

Later updates indicated that students at Fern Drive Elementary had been released safely. "Students at Fern Drive Elementary have been released. Sunny Hills High School remains on lockdown," the department added in a follow-up post.
