British Parliament Dissolves A Five-Week Election Campaign Begins

The British Parliament was dissolved on Thursday, marking the official start of the five-week election campaign leading up to the general election. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently announced that early elections will be held on July 4th.

Speaking from 10 Downing Street, Sunak highlighted his achievements as Finance Minister and Prime Minister and pledged to continue working for the protection of the British people.

With 650 members in the British Parliament, this election is crucial for the country's future. The Conservative Party has been in power for the past 14 years. Rishi Sunak, of Indian descent, made history two years ago when he became Prime Minister.

However, some of his decisions have faced criticism from within his party. Notably, 129 Conservative MPs have declared they will not contest in the upcoming elections, adding to the intrigue surrounding the results.
